Brett Rabatin

Brett Rabatin has joined StoneX as Senior Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group. He will lead the bank depository equity research team while maintaining coverage of regional and community bank stocks across the United States. With a career on the sell-side since 1999, Brett has held significant roles including Head of Research for Hovde Group and analyst positions at Piper Jaffray & Co, Sterne Agee, FTN Midwest, and JC Bradford. His prior experience also includes an analyst role at Mercer Capital, focusing on transaction advisory and valuation services for financial institutions. Brett’s expertise has earned him notable recognition, including being named the number-one stock picker in The Wall Street Journal’s Best on The Street survey for banks and thrifts in 2002, ranking among 97 analysts. He was also recognized as number two overall across all sectors in 2003 by Forbes and StarMine. In the bank/thrift sector, he was the number-one earnings estimator in 2013 and ranked number two in 2004 and 2011. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Memphis, is a CFA Charterholder.
